I have an old Accord that just wasn't blowing the cold air anymore. I was about to take it in for the $100 AC check (and that doesn't include the freon) when I saw this product. Very easy to use, took 5 minutes and for the last 2 weeks I'm amazed how cold the AC is now. If everything works fine but just low on freon then this is for you. If you do have a leak this product will at least let you know with the easy to see uv dye.

Used in 1st car that was blowing warm air, installed one small can plus 1/2 large can.Now car blows cold air,but guage never went above 35 PSI(90 degree outside temp,so pressure should have been 50-55 PSI).Used in 2nd car that was blowing cold air, just wanted to top off system.Guage never went above 35 PSI(again 90 degrees out,did both cars at the same time and at that outside temp the pressure should have been 50-55 PSI.).Used 1 small can and 1/2 of large can.Since pressure never went above 35 PSI in either car,I was beginning to have doubts about the guage.Checked the 2nd car the day after with the guage from another company and it went off the scale!!!It pegged out well over 120 PSI!!!I didn't run the A/C after installing the product because I didn't want to damage anything.Glad I didn't!!!The stuff in the can seems to be OK,but the guage is garbage!!!!

I was hesitant because the previous owner said the car hasn't had ac In a while. But I figured why not try it. Especially on a hot week. Well it got me through and it's still going. So even if your ac only stays charged a few months. That's still all summer. So go for it.

great product for a novice like me being it is easy to use and the directions were clear but like other commenters the gauge is questionable on this product. the price was right for testing an untested used vehicle's ac system but I'd opt for a higher grade system if you know your ac system is good

The screw on hose worked fine for the first can, but the second can leaked horribly. The die ended up all over my hands, clothes, and engine. Then I wanted to see of the included light really worked- since there was green junk all over then engine. The pen light did nothing. There's a 30 Day warranty, so I'll return the leaky can today, but try another brand.

Comments about Interdynamics Arctic Freeze Ultra Synthetic R-134a Recharge Kit with UV Dye and Oil:

This is a good, cost effective way to troubleshoot leaks and recharge A/C systems for cars and trucks. It comes with 2 cans of refrigerant, one with dye, and a reusable dispenser. The instructions are clear and the gauge is easy to use and read. Comes with a bonus UV penlight to detect any leaks that may be present. It really cools down the A/C and the air seems to get colder quicker. There is more than enough refrigerant in the kit to fill most systems. The hardest part is getting it out of the package. Would definitely buy again.

Bought it in the middle of the summer and it is still going strong. The use of this product was fairly simple, light weight and manageable. Highly recommended and would definitely would by again. Be advised to look up for videos on how to use in the internet in order for you to have an easy job to do. Also wear work clothes because it my spray a bit when connecting to the low port.

My work car had been "out of service", sitting in the driveway for a few months. When I got it fixed I had one problem, no ac! Bought this little gem & 10mins later I had colder air than when it was working. It's been a couple weeks now since I used it & it's still freezing us out of the car!!!

I prepped everything and read all the instructions. I attached it to my car and put the nozzle on. I pulled the trigger and green stuff started to spray everywhere from under the trigger. I think it would've worked had the trigger not been broken because my engine bay was bright green from it spraying all over.

Hi Butchie, glad to assist you! Normally, a warm air from a car air conditioner may occur because of refrigerant leak, worn out compressor and a problem with the electrical system. But without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it, nor provide you with a 100% answer. However, I would suggest that you take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.

Used the guage to charge the system - everything was going well, but all of a sudden the gauge spiked to the red section and now the system is overcharged - how do I correct this? everyone is right - don't trust the gauge!

The proper way to correct an overcharge is to recover the entire charge, evacuate the system, recharge the correct amount and check for leaks. However, It is advised that a Section 609 of EPA Standards mechanic be the only one to perform anything with that type of system [r12] as well as r134a due to its effects on the environment. I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified A/C mechanic for a proper diagnosis.

Your 1991 Chevy Bllazer may be with a R-12 ac system. If it has been retro-fitted to R-134a then this Interdynamics Arctic Freeze Ultra Synthetic R-134a Recharge Kit with UV Dye and Oil(part number AFK-11CS) should work fine.
