I purchased this after I found a leak in my transmission cooler line on my Grand Cherokee. The dealer only supplied the entire part for over one hundred bucks whereas I only needed the tube. I cut this to size and it's the exact thickness as the OEM. The tube is cheap and got the job done. The leak is gone but most of the money is still in my wallet.

I purchased my radiator from Advance also. Thankfully it came with universal fittings for the Transmission cooler hose line. The factory molded hose was seized up on fitting at radiator and not reuseable. This hose kit worked perfectly as a replacement for my 98 Jeep 4.0L

Please clarify in product description that item is sold by the foot. I should have wondered why a length was specified. When I picked up my order, I thought I was getting piece that resembles the image and now I have a one foot piece that is too small.

Yes, Candy, the hose could be the problem. But without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it, nor provide you with a 100% answer. I would suggest that you take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.

                    A:

Hi Randy, great question! For connecting the transmission hose to the metal line, flare the steel line before slipping on the rubber hose, it helps to keep the hose from blowing off. Cut your old lines in an easy area to get to, use a tubing cutter, slip on the compression fitting, and tighten it, then slide your rubber hose over the barbed end and clamp it on.
