Fan runs great, needed to purchase an additional install kit as the fan doesn't come with one. Fan was great but had some minor hiccups with the install kit. I used this fan to replace the existing mechanical fan as the fan clutch had gone out. The price of the fan and install (relay) kit together was less than the cost of a replacement fan clutch making the replacement decision easy. The fan comes with good installation instructions and proved very easy to install,

this fan worked awesome for quite some time. It fit my 92 S-10 like a glove and gave me no troubles, until one day. this fans design flaw is it's use of a clip to change the blade around for pusher or puller. I'm not sure how it happened, but one day the clip came loose and acted like a drill bit into a 150.00 all aluminum radiator. Only recked 2 cores and I was able to fix it, but I was no longer willing to use this fan to cool my truck. I went to 2 10" with locking nuts on the blades. Good fan though, did an excellent job minus it's flaw.

Tried this in my 1996 Jeep XJ with the classic 4.0l engine. Despite what this website says, it will not fit.

Comments about Imperial Electric Fan 16" Diameter:
Easy install on my '78 Camaro. Nice and quiet compared to the factory belt fan. I ordered a larger one based on my stander radiator size, but it would not fit on the engine side and clear the pulley. The narrower 10" and 14" fans work better behind the radiator. I placed mine in front since mine has no AC, and since it was a pusher fan out of the box, I didn't need to change anything. I got the relay to go with it, which also made install easy.

Installed in 57 Tbird. Used oven thermostat, with normally closed contact, with capillary probe mounted by engines' thermostat housing and set temperature to run fan at 70 deg. C. and above. Used 12Vdc relay to control 8 Amp fan current when set point is reached, to keep fan current out of ignition switch, and to have the fan turn off when engine is shut down. Wired 25 A fuse per instructions to battery. Did have to build two parallel 1"x 1/8" steel straps with mounting studs welded to hold fan close to radiator without hitting the tubes or fins. Very satisfied with performance. (Usage is as a puller fan, mounted behind radiator.)

Used to replace the stock fan in my 86' Pontiac Fiero. Replacement OEM units are rediculously expensive. This was a great alternative and seems to be working very well.

This fan was listed as a replacement for my 96 mustang GT, but the fan in my car has a three wire setup and this fan only had two. The site should be more discriptive about its parts.

Hello. I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am and the fans are on a toggle switch enstead of the way it came from the factory. My question is the fans suppose to blow towards the radiator or away from the radiator to keep the radiator cool?2 answers

If you mount on the front side, then use it as a pusher, if you mount it on the back of the radiator, use it as a puller. Otherwise the fan will try to push the air back when you are moving.CUSTOMER CARE
