Comments about Imperial Adjustable Thermostatic Fan Control:

Had this installed on a '91 Mustang for about 4 months. Worked Great at first and I was very happy with the performance. But the internals just stopped working one day leaving me stranded on the road. Relay was fine, I think the power lead wire is to small of gauge on this unit and it burns up the internals. Trying my second unit today and will modify it a little.

Installation is fairly straight forward and easy to get set up.

Worked well for about a year. then stopped working and ended up over heating. Relay was fine. It was inside the unit.

Will try a different one next

The first one that I purchased lasted a little over A year, just long enough for the warranty to run out. I purchased another one figuring I just got a bad one out of the bunch, I WAS WRONG because the second one only lasted 3 month

                          I have a question
How many AMPs fuse does this fan controller takes.
The fan controller came with a 25amps fuse
and blew out after a hour of use on my mercury car factory fan.
I personally don’t know how many amps the relay is.
I place a 40amps fuse until you can give me a replay.

Are there any other parts I need to install my cooling fan besides this fan control kit, the electric fan itself, and a way to mount the fan?

Could this method be used on a 2011+ car or truck to bypass the electric fan settings in the PCM? In other words, instead of buying a programmer to take advantage of a 180 degree thermostat could this be used instead?

                            A:

Thermostatic fan control: A system thermistor checks the temperature inside the chassis, and if it detects a temperature outside of range, it spins the fans up to maximum. When the temperature drops below a threshold again, the fans are turned back off. This control method reduces power requirements during periods of low usage, but when the system is operating at capacity, the fan noise can become a problem again. Attach this Imperial Adjustable Thermostatic Fan Control with Part No. 226204 to the fins next to the inbound waterhose on the radiator (the hottest point) then wire part of it to the ac switch, that way it will only come on when needed or when you hit the AC. For any further assistance please feel free to call 1-877-238-2623 and one of our representatives will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

Will this work on a 01 Dodge Grand Caravan? I have changed the air relays, temp sensor, and thermostat and my fans still won't come on.

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
