          • Q:

This item has the same picture as the "Hayden Automotive 3653 Economy Adjustable Thermostatic Fan Control" sold somewhere else. That unit, which again looks identical, states that the temp range is - 160 to 210 degrees Fahrenheit.
On your website, it states 32-248°F. This is for a HEAT EXCHANGER core for air to water, so I need to be able to adjust temps lower than coolant temps. Please advise.

I'm glad to assist, Alex! A:

I'm glad to assist, John! This Imperial adjustable thermostatic fan control may be able to control two small fans. It has a 16 amp load capacity. For higher capacity loads try Imperial Part No. 226204. It can handle a 30 amp load and is pre-wired for two single speed fans. It also includes an A/C override.

A 14 gauge wire would most likely handle the 16 amp load. For the 30 amp load a 12 gauge wire would be a good choice.

              A:

This Imperial Adjustable Thermostatic Fan Control - part# 226203 is a temperature controlled relay. When the temperature reaches the set point the relay activates and 12V turns on the fan. So both of the connections on the unit receive 12V, one from the ignition and the other goes to the positive fan wire and is activated when it reaches the desired temperature.
