Installed and used for first time hauling heavy tandem axle cargo trailer cross country. Set for more sensative and heavier braking while trailer was loaded and quickly adjusted to less sensative, lighter braking after unloaded.( Adjusted within seconds, while on the move, no screws, easy to adjust from the driving position)

Worked extremely well! Get rid of your old time delay controllers.

Ordered on line and picked up in store. Took the store 2 days to find the item. Maybe it was misplaced because it did not work. Had it checked out at the RV dealership to make sure it was connected correctly, which it was. The controller would send a signal to the trailer brakes for a few seconds then stopped sending signal and no trailer brakes. Not good!

Easy to install and works great. I would recommend this to anyone pulling a trailer with brakes. Mounted it on the bottom next to the emergency brake.

          Comments about Hopkins Brake Control:

I bought this product a few years ago. Been using it in my 85 K5 Blazer and never once had an issue. Its easy to use, Easy to see and works everytime. I pull a triple axle Trailer that has brakes on two axles. Heavy load you up the juice. Light or no load you lower the juice. Need to park with heavy load? Park....hold override full power down for a few secs and your trailer wont move. You have locked brakes tight. Simply go in reverse a few feet and trailer brakes are free. I am writing this review today because I just ordered another for a second truck.

                    Comments about Hopkins Brake Control:

This product does what it's supposed to. I like how when the brakes are applied that it increases power to the trailer brakes incrementally instead of all at once. This helps to keep any jerking from happening and you can still use the extreme braking capabilities.

I was slightly dissapointed for some reason when I got the product, opened the box and it looked different? I'm not much on looks, but I had previously purchased one of these and really liked the ergonomics of the old unit. This one isn't quite as nice in my opinion, but hey it still does the job.
