    I purchased this Heli-coil set and as I started using the tap that came with it the tap broke and I was wanting to know what size tap to use since the one you sent with kit has no size on it

      Hi there Donald! The drill bit size is 21/64 so the tap would be equivalent in size.

    What size is the metric tap used for re-cutting the threads for the thread repair kit M8 x 1.25? Is it included in the repair kit? Also is there a special tool for installing thr coils included in the kit?

      I'm happy to help, Bill! I'm sorry if my previous response was not clear that the tap and installation tools are included in the kit. Stanley does not provide the size of the metric tap in this kit as it's specifically for use with this kit.

    After you re-drill your hole out with a 21/64 bit, what die is used for re-threading the hole for the insert?

      I'm happy to help, Bill! In this Heli-Coil Thread Repair Kit M8 x 1.25in. only includes one tap for tapping the hole and an installation tool to install the Heli-Coil. There should also be a number of inserts and instructions included with the kit.
