Comments about Haynes General Motors Models Repair Manual:

I've replaced my engine, radiator, LIM (kinda goes with the engine but i did it once before), and all rotors and brake pads. I also change my own oil and perform tranny maint when needed (dropping the pan, not drain n fill). I have a desk job and am NOT a mechanic, i just am good with my hands and understand/can learn fast, mechanically, how things work.
This book has been a great reference but unfortunately failed me when i changed out my front hub assemblies a week ago. They had stated 96 ft lbs for the three bolts that hold the hub to the knuckle. THIS IS INCORRECT. I busted a bolt in the hub but was fortunate enough that it came out with little effot. Their book even states its not possible in the front when they list the range of torques based on the caliber/size of bolt.
NOTE: this is the only error i have seen after performing the work i have done. i will update if any other errors are found as Advance is pretty much the only place i shop

MY ADVICE: Double check the torque specs online or use their bolt reference up front.

        A:

With out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not solve or be the problem.
