I had to double check the correct gear oil for an Explorer rear differential. This manual did not address how to determine the type of rear axle in my Explorer and the fact it needed synthetic gear oil with an anti-slip additive for the limited slip rear axle. Double check your fluid types and capacities!

      It could be many things that is causing your ABS to activate when stopping on dry roads such as slamming on the brakes to hard, wore down pads, failed ABS system components.
