Comments about Haynes Buick/Oldsmobile/Pontiac Models Repair Manual:

If you can change a tire you don't need this book, I should have guessed a book that covers 3 models for 20 years wouldn't be much help. Absolutely nothing I needed to know was in this book. Returning this one.

Comments about Haynes Buick/Oldsmobile/Pontiac Models Repair Manual:

Research on repair projects for my Buick. The data is limited. In depth repairs require a Chilton's or other bigger, more in-depth manual. This is good for casual repair work.

        A:

Hi Jonathan, happy to help you! The Haynes Buick/Oldsmobile/Pontiac Models Repair Manual (Part No. 19020) contains routine maintenance, tune-up procedures, engine repairs, cooling and heating, air Conditioning, fuel and exhaust, emissions control, ignition, brakes, suspension and steering, electrical systems, and wiring diagrams. If none of the power windows are working, it may be a fuse. If one or more window sticks while moving up and down, it could be the seal or a gasket. Sometimes extreme temperatures and having an older vehicle can cause the trim or seals to swell, causing a sticky spot inside the window casing. If there is one particular window that fails to respond to the push of a button, then the car owner can assume that the problem is within the window itself. If there are no sounds or movement when the switch is activated, it may very well be the window motor. However, I would suggest that you take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.
