Basically a paint can with a small parts bucket. I immersed a really old ATV carb, that was seized and smelled like varnish.
After an hr or so, it came out looking like new!
I was careful to remove all plastic and rubber parts.
I've also used it for cleaning fasteners, e.g. screws, bolts.

As noted this product works great, does the job quickly, and will little to no odor. This cleaner is also a lot safer for the environment the others/most other are. It also seems to be "safe" for the skin, as I did not have any issue with getting it on my hands. I will say though this stuff has changed in the years. Although is still works pretty darn good, it does not work as well as the old stuff. Granted the old stuff was not as "safe" for the environment, but boy did it get those parts clean as a brand new part right off the shelf. This is also a great alternative to having or having to use larger parts cleaner. I used it this time to clean parts while rebuilding a Zenith Stromberg carburetor off my 76' MG. The only and a BIG issue for me was the very tiny and almost useless "basket". It is nothing like the old ones that truly fit in to the whole can. This thing is only like 3-4" round and no more tall. If you're not careful it will tip over while dipping it in with taller parts causing them to possibly fall out to the bottom of the can. But besides the pitiful excuse for a basket, this stuff did great on all but the really thick stuff, which came off with a simple brass brush and a 2nd short soak.

Comments about Gunk Carburetor Parts Cleaner - Complete Kit:

I soaked my carbs for hours, it suggests 20 minutes. They weren't too bad to begin with, but I removed from can with the included basket that is nice, and sprayed all over with a can of aerosol carb cleaner, blew out with air gun, then sprayed main areas again with aerosol and blew out and dried. Carbs look clean as new inside and out. I have only used spray cans previously, but this is the way to go.

Comments about Gunk Carburetor Parts Cleaner - Complete Kit:

This was able to remove 10 year old plus varnish and grease/oil from the carburetor I was cleaning. Letting the parts soak for 24 hours yielded the best results. I still had to scrub the tough areas though I am sure soaking for additional time would be beneficial with no damage to the carburetor. The dip does not smell too bad but does have kind of a lacquer thinner odor to it. Only drawback is that the included metal basket is much smaller in diameter than the gallon can the dip comes in.

Easy to use. My only complaint is that the little metal basket with the handle inside could be just a little bigger to hold slightly larger parts.

Sorry, this Solder Seal/Gunk Environmental Carburetor and Parts Dip (96 fl. oz.) - part# CC3K cannot be used to clean throttle body injection. Instead please check the Valvoline Carb and Throttle Body Cleaner - part# 602333 which would work fine for your application. The carburetor has to be disassembled for cleaning with this Solder Seal/Gunk Environmental Carburetor and Parts Dip (96 fl. oz.) - part# CC3K as the gasket, rubber or plastic parts are not to be placed in the solution. We purchased a gallon of this cleaner and the mechanic left the can in the car. When it heated the can exploded and spilled the contents into the carpet of the car. Do you have any suggestions on how to get the smell/fumes out without replacing the carpet?

Because carb. cleaner is a volitile chemical it should air out eventually. You may need to contact the manufacturer for information on what chemicals may be used to remove carb. cleaner.

Definatly will not fit in the can, let alone the strainer baskit, Gunk offers a 5 gallon can that will however accomidate the quadrojet carb just fine. You will need to request it from the store as a special order!
