Green Grease is a wonderful product. It is easy to see when you have replaced your conventional grease with green grease. Remember it is only graded for #2 use, so technically its use is limited. If it can do things other than it is rated for, it is a gamble. Check Amsoil. They haven't been tested to meet the lubrication standards of the manufacturers. They are "recommended for" not "meets the". I use green grease on my motorhome and Jeep that have a slip yoke driveshaft. The temp can reach 400 degrees during driving. Conventional grease temp range is up to 285 degrees.

Green Grease is much hyped on The Speed Channel, various websites, etc. Yet this product lacks the GC rating necessary for wheel-bearing use (and might void warranties if used for such??), and even lacks the less-demanding LB rating needed for chassis lube. Kinda strange, given the premium price.

OTOH, it *is* FERTILIZER-RESISTANT, which is a big relief when I stop at the roadside produce stands, here in the big city... lol.

PS: While used by many vendors besides Omni Lubricants/Green Grease, the term "Professional Grade" is meaningless both technically and legally. Neither the API nor the NLGI recognize the term. It is merely a marketing tag line.

Comments about Green Grease Synthetic Waterproof High Temperature Grease:

I was changing a clutch and all trans seals in a 1991 Mazda Miata and needed high temp grease for the power shaft and throwout bearing. I needed to spend a couple additional dollars for a coupon to apply and went with this. The better quality is apparent when first opening the tube. The grease has a great consistency and does not smell like typical high temp bearing grease. The lubricating property felt so good I was able to use less then normal which is a big plus on this application where too much grease will cause clutch jump. Would I buy this again? For sure.

The product is too thin, it will bypass the piston in a grease gun, and it does not come even close with lithium grease. Used 3 3oz tubes on a tractor, which is usually done by a 1/3 of 1 tube of Lithium grease.

Your wasting your green on this green.

Comments about Green Grease Synthetic Waterproof High Temperature Grease:

I use this grease on my vehicle's door hinges because the high stress of it pushes white lithium grease (which works for most other car doors) out of the roller and other components.

This is a dream lubricant for lawn equipment, though.
