Comments about Gila Peel and Cling Window Tint - 5% VLT:

The best thing that I like about this is the fact that it clings to the glass and can be removed and re-applied over and over.

Comments about Gila Peel and Cling Window Tint - 5% VLT:

It was helpful in cooling my bedroom when the sun is directly facing in the mid afternoon. It wasn't as easy to apply since I didn't have the basic tools on hand ( squeegee, spray etc) but I managed to get it.

Comments about Gila Peel and Cling Window Tint - 5% VLT:

I purchased one role of Gila JS242 for the glass on a storm door that faces the afternoon sun. Wow, what a great idea so I bought more for the home windows getting the afternoon sun.
I also purchased the application solution, but use it VERY sparingly because you really don't need a lot to facilitate the application of the film.
If you're also interested in trying it on a home window, don't forget to measure twice and cut once. Apply from the top of the window and work down. Remove about a third of the paper backing to start and then let gravity take its course as you smooth the film and continue removing the paper backing. Once you get the hang-of-it, you will become an expert after one window.

Comments about Gila Peel and Cling Window Tint - 5% VLT:

I have used both traditional window tint films as well as the peel and cling. As long as you are not opening and closing your car windows, this is an amazing product. You MUST use lots of water and a squeegee to get the best possible results....AND allow a few days for the water to dry out from under the window film (just like you would with the more conventional glue based tints). I have used this on my cars, my truck and even as a tint for the shield on my motorcycle helmet. And....if you decide you don't want it anymore....even a year or two down the road...you can peel it right off in seconds. You could NEVER dream of doing that with a conventional film...EVER!!!!

Comments about Gila Peel and Cling Window Tint - 5% VLT:

Peel & Cling was easy to install. That's about the only good. Once installed and cured it is very 'grainey' looking. It looks as if there is a sheet of water on the outside of the window. I will be removing and replacing with a different tint. The other 'good' is that it's easy to remove. I gave it 2 stars just for the ease of installation.

I read online that you use tape on both sides of the liner to get to the film you put on the window, do I have to do that with this?

Yes it is possible but with tint you need to be slow and patient.
