Purchased this Fram filter instead of a Honda filter. Fram is usually a good brand and I use it in my trucks and cars, but on a Honda Goldwing GL1800 not so much. Honda recommends torqueing the oil filter to 19 foot pounds. The flukes on the Fram oil filter are not deep enough to allow for this torque and the oil filter wrench slips before it is torqued (also slips when you try to remove it). So the oil filer has to be destroyed to get it out (better now then when it is full of dirty oil). Stick with a Honda or a filter with a nut on the cap.

DO NOT USE THIS ON 2010 HONDA NT700V!!! THIS PRODUCT IS TOO LONG, THE OEM FILTER IS 2.5 INCHES HIGH AND THIS ONE IS ALMOST 3 INCHES, IT WILL WORK FINE UNTIL YOU PUT IT ON THE MOTORCYCLE ON THE CENTER STAND OR TAKE IT OFF THE CENTER STAND, THE CENTER STAND WILL PUNCH A HUGE HOLE IN IT, LUCKILY I CAUGHT IT BEFORE I RODE, ADVANCE SHOULD TAKE THIS OFF THEIR COMPATABILITY LIST!!!

Comments about Fram Motorcycle Oil Filter:

Advance Auto offers two oil filters for my bike. One is $7 and the other is $15. Why is one more expensive than the other? I think it's because it has a fancy, high-end name brand. I change my oil more often that the manual recommends, so a good quality oil filter is sufficient. Buying online and picking-it up at the store saved me an additional 20%.

Comments about Fram Motorcycle Oil Filter:

Grabbed one of these for my Super Tenere then realized the same filter fit my Grizzly 660 too so added another. I'm not sure why Fram has been getting a bad rep lately, but I've never had an issue and the motors seem to always outlast the rest of the vehicles here in the rust belt. I would buy another of these. They work great and are about as cheap as the no names.
