                          A:

Hi C.J, A bad fuel filter can cause an engine to hesitate, or stumble, if the filter restricts the flow of fuel into a vehicle's engine. Also an engine stalling, rough idle, reduced power, no-start condition are few other symptoms of a faulty fuel filter. I would suggest that you take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.

                          A:

Push the clips towards the filter, squeeze the two tangs on the clip and then pull. Some effort may be required if they haven't been removed for some time. Don’t forget to reduce the fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump relay, then start the car and let it stall and then crank it over for a few more seconds.
