Comments about Flowtech Raptor; Turbo Performance Muffler:

got this because of price and just to pass insp. about 5x's cheaper than OEM replacement. dont expect a roaring rumble. quiet on turn-over and at cruising speed. can hear a light rumble while "gettin on it". it does sound better than stock. dont compare this to a flowmaster. 89 F150 4X4 302.

          A:

It won't have the quiet noise as a stock muffler but it should not be too loud either. I would compare it to a low growl. I would suggest you taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for assistance to check your fault.

The Flowmaster mufflers use chambers to muffle the sound, while Flowtech mufflers use a muffler filled with fiberglass to muffle the sound.
