Comments about Felpro Valve Cover Gasket Set:

Felpro gasket are always a perfect fit and of the best material. These gaskets are easy to install on the valve covers and stay in place with built in locks. You need to replace the bolt gaskets (seals) these do not come with the valve cover gaskets but are sold in a separate kit. Install these valve cover gaskets and bolts seals correctly and you will not have to worry about an oil leak from this area for many miles.

Comments about Felpro Valve Cover Gasket Set:

Great replacement by FelPro once again. You MUST go with Felpro for these GM vehicles. I have a 2003 Chevrolet Impala 3800 Series (3.8L V6) and the factory valve cover gaskets have a recall for leaking onto the spark plug plastic hold down clamps and catching on fire. Prevent all that catastrophe by simply replacing the valve cover gaskets when you notice a slight leak. Now, I bought this car used with 130k on the clock but it still runs like new and the 3800 is proven to run up to high mileage if taken care of. Don't forget to get the FelPro grommet set for the valve cover bolts. You should replace that at the same time and Advance Auto has those in stock. If you are replacing the rear valve covers, grab a new set of aluminum Dorman heater hose elbows to complete the job.

Comments about Felpro Valve Cover Gasket Set:

Fit perfectly on the valve covers, and fixed the leak I had. Make sure to completely clean the head surface, and you shouldn't have any leaks. No RTV needed. If you want to install new grommets (seals the hole in the cover where the bolt goes) you must buy that separate.
It was a bit of a job to do the rear valve cover gasket replacement on the GM 3800. I had to move the tensioner pulley/heater elbow assembly, and I'd recommend replacing the elbows because if they're original, they will leak after moving the assembly.

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

your rings may be shot, burning excess oil. check oil level, and possibly your catalitic converter may become clogged as well due to the amount of excess oil exiting the exhaust
