Part sold as seal for 4.0 ltr mountaineer thermostat seal. Didn't seal used old original seal. Threw away.

I have 2006 Ford Explorer 4.0. The thermostat housing is leaking. Is this all I need to correct the leak or do I need to purchase the whole thermostat housing kit. Thermostat works fine, no problems with it at all, just the housing is leaking.

Is this all I need to change the thermostat? In addition to the stat, of course.
