Hi Gary! At this time, we do not offer an air conditioning clutch separately from the compressor online. I would recommend that you check with the nearest Advance store and one of our parts pros will be glad to assist you with an alternate availability.

i have a1987 dodge dakota and the pulley locked up on it will putting a new clutch pulley on it fix it. or will i have to buy a whole compressor?

      A:

Yes, with reference to your inquiry on the Factory Air Air Conditioning Clutch - New -part# 47831, you can very well replace the pulley instead of replacing the whole compressor. It takes a wide puller that can reach across the face of the pulley and has to be grabbed around the back of the pulley. First the clutch has to be removed . There would be a nut or bolt in the center. once that is off, there will be a snap ring. With the ring removed, the second puller is used to pull the pulley off of the hub. For any further assistance, please call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
