    Comments about Dynomax Exhaust Systems:

I had a flowmaster cat back and the tailpipe rotted off and muffler was pretty rusted after only 6 yrs. This dynomax was much lower price than the flowmaster system but its a thinner guage muffler and pipe. It sounds pretty good but not as deep tone as the flowmaster. For the money its pretty nice. The tailpipe has a weled on chrome tip looks nice and the hangers are welded to the pipe in proper angles and locations.

Did not fit exactly as described.Hangers on tailpipe did not line up with factory hangers. Had to use extra clamps and other hangers.

        • Q:

I have a 97 dodge dakota sport, 3.9L, 2wd. I'm shopping exhaust systems, and like the dynomax cat back system. On your website as well as other online sites the same kit comes up and says its compatable. However, your site says it is for a 4wd, but also says it is compatable. The Dynomax website says the 2.5 in. diameter is for the 4wd and the 3 in. dia. is for the 2wd, but bothe vehicles have the same wheel base. What do I need, and how should I proceed. At most places, I can only find the 2.5 in. dia.

            A:

To proceed you would basically go on what you personally like and the specifications of your engine size and air intake.
If you getting a wider exhaust you will need an aftermarket intake. Our website says this because it does fit both 2wd and 4wd.
