Comments about Duplicolor Truck Bed Coating, Black, 16.5 oz. Aerosol:

I've used this stuff for so many different things. I primarily bought it because the front bumper on my truck was pretty rusted up. I sanded off all of the rust and this stuff looks amazing. I ended up putting it on the rear bumper as well. I love the way it goes on and looks so much I was literally going around trying to find things to apply it to.

I've tried two other name brands and wasn't happy with either. The Rust-Oleum (I used the "professional grade" which was much more expensive than this) went on way too thick and goopy and the spray nozzle gummed up like crazy in just a few seconds of use. The Dupli-Color brand achieves the same results but it's much easier to apply and build up to the desired thickness. It actually seemed to last a LOT longer too even though it's the same volume.

Most recently I turned a rusty 30 year old toolbox (that I've had since I was a child) into an amazing looking piece that I'm proud to keep all of my tools in. The uses for this stuff are just about limitless.

Comments about Duplicolor Truck Bed Coating, Black, 16.5 oz. Aerosol:

I use it on my bumpers, grill, plastic trim, etc. Works great, nice texture finish. I hate chrome, so I blacked everything out. Super durable. And makes faded plastic look new. Also used it on my ATV bumpers and trim. Love this stuff.

Apply thin coat and wait 10-15 minutes and apply another thin coat and It turns out perfect. Hot humid days, I would advise letting It cure for 24 hours before handling. Used It on rock sliders and they look very nice. Used It on the windshield wiper arms since regular paint doesn't apply smooth. This stuff make them look like they were meant to be. Also used on the rocker panels.

I use this for covering most beds bumpers for my hunting rigs and quad. bumpers etc. this adds a durable finish that looks like a pro did it. it took 50 years off the age of my truck., the only negative thing I have to say is, the water base stuff was a major mistake to buy. it cost more and the tip put blotches all over my fiberglass tonneau cover, and it was a lot of work to fix it and cot me again, that being said I still feel the cheaper product works great!

The BEST thing in a can since beer !!! This product is the BEST that I've used! I used it a few years ago on my pick-up truck bed with PROFESSIONAL results and now I've used it to spray the inside of my aluminum boat. This stuff covers well, DOESN'T run at all and BLENDS together without any lap marks. It leaves a TEXTURED coating similar to a PARKERIZED finish. I don't think a person could make it run unless you held down the button and can in one spot and emptied the entire contents!!! I tried another product of this type(by mistake)and was TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED!!! DON'T make the same mistake! BUY THIS PRODUCT and if I've led you astray, I"LL refund your MONEY !!!

Duplicolor Truck Bed Coating Aerosol Spray.

If you have a spray on truck bed liner you will eventually need some touch ups repairs. This is a easy method to repair lost truck bed coating. The aerosol spray is easy to apply with most of your time spent preparing the locations. I find that it is easier to mask areas than spend lots of time cleaning up over-spray. Application should be in a suitable location to allow for about one or two hours of drying without foreign materials settling onto the surface. A few application coats are better than one big glob of product. This product also works well inside trunks or trunk wheel-wells to protect those areas from rusting. It is cost effective so buy a little extra to make sure you complete the job.

Glad to assist, Sparks99! It cannot be submerged in water. It can handle rain, in the bed of the truck, but it cannot be used on boats. It really should only be applied to bare metal, or scuffed up paint. It will not bond well to fiberglass.
