I did not care for the color, It was more flat than gloss and it had a rough texture once applied?

Comments about Duplicolor Engine Enamel, Gloss Black, 12 oz. Aerosol:

Works good just use several coats to ensure complete coverage and use a solovent on the tip or they can clog. And finally decent coverage but wipe or dry spills as the fuel does have a tendency to eat it away especially race fuel and high alcohol based fluid. Other than that as with any paint prep is everything and if the surface is sufficently prepped then this product will deliver decent performance for what it is a engine enamel. HIgh heat on headers boiled it off but it seemed fine on motors and 6inches down the headed just burned where she glows.

Comments about Duplicolor Engine Enamel, Gloss Black, 12 oz. Aerosol:

The paint seems to have been thinned out more than it was several years ago. Novice users should be aware of the danger of paint runs. Other than that, it's the best you can buy locally.

Used to paint my Exhaust on a geo tracker. After i installed it and started car up instantly i smelled something odd. when i looked under the hood i saw smoke freaked out turned off my car and began identifying the issue. Turned out it was the high temp 500 Degree engine paint meting off my exhaust!!!? To say the least i wouldn't trust this cheap junk to last on an engine if it melts like butter off an exhaust.

From past experiences, this paint only lasts about 2 years. After that the paint cracks and starts to peel off blocks and heads on daily drivers.
