Comments about Duplicolor Caliper Paint, Red, 12 oz. Aerosol:

Every enthusiast wants to stand out and painted calipers is a more subtle, detail oriented way to do that. Duplicolor has been in business for a long time and knows spray paint. I feel that this Caliper Paint is a decent alternative to the 2-part boxed kits. The key to making this worthwhile is prep. Clean everything thoroughly and make sure it is clean, dry and warm! I used wheel cleaner and a brush first to remove the heavier deposits and then brake cleaner to remove residues and oils. I went the long route and took everything apart except for disconnecting the brake lines. I removed the caliper brakets, slide pins, anti-rattle clips and then taped everything else I did not want covered. 3-4 light coats later and they look like they came that way from the factory. The paint stands up to the elements very well and wipe off clean when I wash the car.

Comments about Duplicolor Caliper Paint, Red, 12 oz. Aerosol:

Since it takes a significant amount of effort and elbow grease to clean the calipers up for painting you do not want to do it too often. I used this paint on my 05 Mustang a year ago and it still looks bright and red today. Since then I have purchased several cans and all of my cars now have painted calipers. I do a quick touch up whenever working on the brakes or if I need to take the wheel off.

Will this paint match the manufacturer paint? I did a search for 2006 Suzuki sv650 and the result was a page with several colors.
Don't know if this is generic red or real thing.

I want to paint my calipers blue. I can't find blue caliper paint in my advanceauto store. Can i use blue engine enamel instead? Since they are both heat resistant to 500 degrees and contain ceramic resins?

Depends on how big the calipers are, Appx. 2,(Passenger car). But... with the durability of this paint, just buy it by the case! I have found it great to paint every thing in my shop.It isn't a problem when you hit it with the torch, solvents,or greasy hands.
