Worked great, prep time is the majority of the work. Roughed up truck bed, used acetone to penatrate the paint before applying. First coat was looking painted on, I applied the second coat thick and in swirles, that made all the difference in appearence. Does not look painted in at all. Required a lot of stirring and breaking up the mixture prior to application. Taped bed and removed tailgate. End Results were great. Very pleased.

Overall a good product.Do not use the supplied scouring pad. Use medium to fine grit sanding sponge from [@]($3.50 for a long sponge) will work a lot easier. Use 91% alcohol($3 at [@]) to wipe down the area after sanding. Product looks good when applied with the brush using long brush strokes to hide the brush stroke markings. I do not reccomend using the roller as it is pretty much useless in the bed of a truck with ridges. It's kind of like chunks of Berber carpet attached to a roller. I purchased a textured roller and a sponge roller and neither worked well. Just use the brush. Product is superthin even after 3 coats and tends to shrink inward when drying. It says to wait 48 hours before use. Wait at least 60-72 hours, I loaded a PVC pipe made bike rack with end caps in the bed of the truck and it scraped the material up in a few spots and I had to recoat it. Buy online and use the P20 code to get 20% off ;)

Stay with something other than a water based latex product. Very difficult to dry in anything other than flat surfaces, runs off vertical surfaces. Biggest mistake I made in a while, I now have hours of work to remove this coating and replace with a correct finish. Complete and utter disaster!

Comments about Duplicolor Bed Armor, DIY Truck Bed Liner, Black, 128 oz. Gallon Kit:

This product is disappointing. I followed the instructions to the letter. It doesn't apply very well, and it dries 'lumpy'. Yes, I stirred it per the instructions. It comes with a flimsy roller that would probably perform moderately well on flat surfaces, but most truck beds are corrugated. I bought this product because I wanted to get rid of my factory plastic bed liner, but I'm so disappointed in the results I decided to just re-install the plastic bed liner and cover this disappointing product for good. Unfortunately I'll never recoup my money or time.

Comments about Duplicolor Bed Armor, DIY Truck Bed Liner, Black, 128 oz. Gallon Kit:

I would highly recommend this product. I coated my 6' Ford truck bed with 3 coats and still had 1/3 of the can left. I bought the spray bed armor to cut in the corners. I also used the spray to coat my fender flares and they turned out beautiful. I also applied the spray to an old cycle helmet. This stuff will stick to anything. Application suggestion. Stir the contents of the can really well. All the rubber particles are at the bottom of the gallon. Also I recommend not using the brush, use a fresh sponge instead. Brush leaves marks. I rolled the bed and sponged the sides. It came on great. I pulled the sponge off a new replacement mop head and then cut it in half. The sponge ensured the coating got into all the crevices. Next I'm gonna spray the inside of my truck doors at the bottom where the paint has chipped away to avoid any rust. I hope this helps!

Comments about Duplicolor Bed Armor, DIY Truck Bed Liner, Black, 128 oz. Gallon Kit:

This is a good alternative to spray in bed liners. My (used) truck came with a bed mat and I really only needed two quarts rather than a gallon. Also to properly mix the paint, a drill mixer is necessary. If doing it again I would again use this in combination with a bed mat. For $50 or so combined withe the reduced cost for bedliner paint, the mat is definiteloy a good idea.

I did most of the application with the brush rather than the crummy roller that was included.

You will be hating it when your done. I read reviews but never post one. Now I have! After finishing this prodject I am very unhappy with Duplicolor Bed Armor.

Product looks great in my Ramcharger. I used the brush on liner on the entire floor pan including the passenger area. So far is holding up as described. It is not as easy to use as I hoped but worth the time. I had to brush on the first several layers and use the roller as a final coat on the flat areas. Roller doesen't get down into the grooves of the bed. I would suggest using the product in a well ventilated location on a warm dry day. I applied the product in the winter and heated the garage but even then I noticed it took longer to dry than what was noted in the directions.

                        A:

No, I am sorry. It is not recommended to use the Duplicolor Bed Armor™ DIY Truck Bed Liner with Kevlar®, Black, 128 oz. Gallon Kit (Part No. BAK2010) on a different color (tan). How long before bed can get wet after application? Like do I need to make sure there isn't going to be any rain in the forecast for a few days? Thanks!
