      Hi Paul. The paint type of this Duplicolor Automotive Metallic Coating, Stainless Steel, 11 oz. Aerosol (Part No. SS100) is Acrylic Lacquer. It can be applied over lacquer and cannot be applied over enamel.

    Will this work to paint my air cleaner assembly and/or valve covers on my 1993 Chevy C1500 5.0 305, or will it get too hot for the paint to withstand?

      Hi Matt, glad to assist you! This can withstand temperatures up to 120° F. If it gets hotter than that, I would not apply it.
