I bought the Dual when the OEM radio in my 1996 Isuzu Rodeo died. This was, in 1996, the top of the line sound system available from Isuzu - twin rear woofers, door mounted midranges and front door mounted tweeters. It also has a 12 disc CD changer mounted behind the rear seat.
Initially I was looking for something with a CD player or something that would connect to the existing CD changer. When I figured out that my 8 GB USB flash drive would hold the equivalent of 10 cd's, I figured "WHY???" Besides, I could pull the old changer and get a bit more storage room.
The unit was very easy to install. The adapter sleeve was unnecessary as the OEM mounting brackets from the old radio fit perfectly once I flattened out two alignment pins on the brackets. The radio is an exact fit for the dash cutout. I did cheat a bit and got a wiring adapter to go between the Dual rear connector and the Isuzu factory connector. Even so, total cost was less than $60.00.
Sound is great. I can crank the volume up to max and get minimal distortion. Can't tell if this is due to the radio or to 16 year old speakers but, regardless, I wouldn't recommend turning the volume all the way up. It is LOUD.
By the way, radio reception is very good, seek/scan works quite well, and it's got enough station presets to cover almost any major market.
Now for the negatives.
The display is a bit too bright. There's no connection to dash light dimmers and the blue display backlight is almost bright enough to read by. This can affect night vision so I'm going to have to find a small piece of dark plastic film to put over the display.
The display doesn't show any titles, only folder and track numbers. If this is annoying, store your music on your iPod and play thru the 3.5 mm plug.
When you turn the radio on, volume is automatically reset to a medium low level.
If listening to MP3's off the USB drive, folder 1 track 1 comes on when you turn the radio back on. The unit doesn't remember the last cut played.
There's no clock in the display.
The unit comes with provisions for either a USB drive or SD card. Out of the box, the SD didn't work but I only found this out after I had installed it. No big deal, my music is on the USB drive anyway. SD cards are too easy to lose.
I consider the negatives very minor but now I'll have to find a dashboard clock.
By the way, my son in law was so impressed with the sound that he bought one for his work truck. And the radio/cd player in the truck still works.

I got this to replace the original stereo in my 2000 XJ Cherokee and with the online discount code it was even cheaper. Pros: Relatively easy to install (get an install kit) The sound is better than stock unit and I can use a USB stick or an SD card to listen to music. I didn't want a CD player so this unit was great for my needs. Cons: The controls seem to be a little flimsy, the menus are slightly counterintuitive, and the AM tuner isn't very sensitive. (all things I've gotten used to) For the price you really can't go wrong.

Comments about Dual Electronics 15 x 4 Channel 60W Mechless Digital Media Receiver:
I purchased two of these, one to replace a broken aftermarket radio in a 1968 Dodge Dart, and another to replace a broken original radio in a 2005 Jeep Liberty. Installation in the Dart was very easy and simple, and with it's old deep trunk, the stereo sounds phenomenal. In the Jeep, I also had to order a mold so that it would fit in the original dimensions of the faceplate, but not really a problem at all. With a coupon code, I would highly recommend this product to anyone that wants to replace an existing radio. Overall, it is a great deal!

I bought this radio after my old one in my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee died, so i took the old radio and speakers out and bought this as an upgrade. Its good looking and works great for me, Im a high school student and work to buy this so it helps with how much this cost, it works good for me, can listen to the local stations and my own music. I had trouble with the wiring but got it all worked out and its perfect to me. Only things wrong is that theres no clock, but ill just find something at Advance Auto to fix that. Overall great affordable radio.

I got this for my daughter's 95 Honda (200,000 miles on it). Of course she wanted a radio with an Aux input for her Ipod. This was the cheapest(least expensive) way to do it. It works great, is easy to use, we both are very satisfied. It fit right in the slot and plugged right into the wiring harness from the previous radio. Very easy to install. O recommend this to anyone with an order car.

Considering the price, I'm much more satisfied than I thought I would be. There must be a slight update to the product since the web update. Mine has a clock and also has a removable face & remote. Pretty good combination of features considering the price. Put a bunch of MP3's on an SD card and who needs a CD player?

I wanted an inexpensive radio with USB input for an old Toyota pickup that I seldom use. Just finished installing it and it works great. It fit the mount well but had to modify the plastic Toyota trim plate a bit. Logical controls and great sound from original speakers. Remote control and removable faceplate are nice additions for an inexpensive radio.

Make sure you get the XR4115 model. It is far and away the better unit and is the same price. So far I have been very happy with this purchase. I put it in my Jeep and did some off roading over the weekend and it held up very well.

Comments about Dual Electronics 15 x 4 Channel 60W Mechless Digital Media Receiver:
Note that the Advance Auto web page lists two model numbers here: XR4110 and XR4115. Previous comments (no clock, overly-bright display, no info beyond track and folder numbers) apply to the 4110. My local Advance store stocked the 4115 at the same price, and it delivers much more: about three times the rated power (18 vs 5 watts/channel RMS), detachable face, remote control, track name display for USB/SD MP3 files, and even a clock! Now for the bad news: the 4115's LED display, while easy to read at night, washes out easily in sunlight (sigh). And the clock cannot be set as the default display; you have to press the "DISP" button to show it for a few seconds (the clock also goes away when the ignition is off). Win some, lose some...
Overall sound quality is good enough, especially if you're not planning to do a speaker upgrade. Audio controls are adequate, and not difficult to find or operate. This unit seems to have been designed by car people rather than video game people. USB/SD operation is straightforward, though I would not want to nest folders within folders. Being able to see folder and track names makes this a lot easier. Aux interface works fine with my iPod, though the iPod requires the volume turned up a bit (it would be nice if you could specify different default volume levels for aux vs. MP3 vs tuner, but this is a low-end unit).
Installation note: this unit seems to be about an inch shorter (front to back) than a CD player. Nice to know if space behind the dash is tight.
Bottom line: the 4115 is a major improvement over the 4110, and a decent value if you don't want to play CDs or directly control an iPod.
