Be careful about which part number you need to order, there is one for same year/model but for use with cast rotor OR composite rotor and had a mid year change for 1999.

Note however, previous owner or shop might have swapped cast for composite as they will still mount up.

Be sure to torque the mounting bolts to 75 ft lbs and the hub/bearing nut to 175 ft lbs
(check your torque wrench, many only go to 150lbs)

Went through 3 of these bearings within a 4 month period.
I purchased one of these bearings because one of my hub bearings went bad on a sunday and this was all I could get. The first bearing made noise right out of the box, Two more exchange bearings went bad withing a month of each other. I finally spent the cash for a timken bearing and have'nt had a problem since.

Comments about Driveworks Wheel Hub Assembly:

Bought this hub due to very low price. While driving out of town (about 200 miles out) New hub started making noise. I was able to nurse it home but do your self a favor & spend the extra & get the Moog hub. Maybe I just got that "One" bad hub.

Comments about Driveworks Wheel Hub Assembly:

Relatively an easy installation. The most difficult part for me was removing the hub nut. I prematurely removed the brake assembly before the hub nut. The hub & bearing assembly will turn making it difficult to remove the hub nut. Solution: Have someone press the brake pedal so the pads will apply pressure to the wheel while you loosen the hub nut. I had to re-assemble the brakes and start over before completing the project.

Be careful about which part number you need to order, there is one for same year/model but for use with cast rotor OR composite rotor and had a mid year change for 1999.

It would be nice to run the VIN # to know if the 99 you own was an early or late model that year as the hub assembly changed mid year.
