I own a 2002 chev cavilier. I have replaced this hub about 5 times. The first couple was with the hub just roaring down the road. I would replace one within the 1 year warr and then that will go bad and have to replace again and pay out of pocket because it is beyond the warr. the past 2 hubs I have had the bearings dry grind into dust almost like the hub was not packed well in grease before sealed. these bearings are unsafe! they will come apart and the only thing holding your wheel on would be the axle. invest your money in the better hub. You will be far happier!

There were parts in the box that we didn't need for our vehicle but the directions didn't even state where they belonged if we did need them.

            • Q:

This hub came with an O-Ring type piece of plastic seen on the bottom right of the photo... Should this be installed in my 2000 Sunfire? I ask because when we removed the initial hub there was not this type of piece in there.

              Thanks.
Asked on 11/9/2014 by Tim G from Bridgewater, MA

              1 answer

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

Hi Tim, good question! This part is an exact fit for selective Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick and Oldsmobile vehicles. The O-ring may/may not be required as per the requirement on these brands. As your Sunfire's OEM did not have one you can ignore it. It will not affect the installation of this part in any ways.

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

Hi Art, my answer to your question on the Driveworks Wheel Hub Assembly - part# NT513017K is that the wheel hub assembly may be the possible cause of the problem on your Chevy Cavalier. However, without the presence of the vehicle we could neither diagnose the problem nor provide you with a 100% answer. I would suggest you to get assistance from a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
