The product is designed to be installed by removing the wheel and brake hub and remove the axle nut. The axle nut is a 1.25 inch deep socket. After removing the axle nut the hub comes slides right off and the new hub slides right back on. Reinstall the nut and torque to 150 to 160 ft lbs. Reinstall the brake hub and wheel and you are done and can start the next wheel. Buying the hub assembly is far easier than trying to just replace the bearings because the hub bearings are already proper packed with grease when you purchase the assembly. The warranty on this product is one year.

There's a good ending to this story that started out not-so-good, so please read through.
The Driveworks bearings (both sides) failed rapidly after ~25k miles. They began making a little noise and within days they were deafening loud and so loose I was able to wiggle them and feel the slop. They were beyond the 1-year warranty, but I called Advance Auto to see if anything could be done. They offered me a full refund. I was very impressed with their response and purchased upgraded Moog replacement bearings from them.
So, my advice is to spend a few dollars more and buy the Moog bearings with a 3-year warranty instead of the Driveworks with a 1-year warranty, so you don't have to repeat the labor. Also, if you have a problem let Advance know, so they have an opportunity to make it right. I do quite a bit of shade-tree mechanic repair work and they definitely will be getting more of my business.

Comments about Driveworks Wheel Hub Assembly:

Bought a rear set to replace on my wife's car, only one was bad but I rather replace in pairs. Took care of that annoying humming noise. They looked a bit different as They have groves that might be for sensing traction on ABS models but regardless they fitted perfect.its been 3 weeks without problems but also keep in mind the product isn't a high end but rather the cheapest hub you can buy from advance auto, hope this helped.

Take off wheel and drum then remove axle nut, pull old one off and slide new one on, easier than fooling with just the bearing, plus its all new and already greased, done.

This part was purchased to replace defective factory parts. Seemed to be better quality fit as good as original but looked to be better quality. I would consider these again if I need to replace them on other cars. I didn't find any reason to not used these or anything bad about them.

Correct, you would need to get the hub and bearing as an assembly. The wheel bearing does not come separately for any of the model year PT Cruisers that I checked under.
