    Comments about Driveworks V-Ribbed Belt:

This belt will NOT fit a Dodge Durango 2001 with 5.9l engine. After about 10 minutes of arguing with the cashier about how this will definitly fit (this was after i took it home and saw it was about 2 inches short) and repeatedly telling me that the one i want wont fit.and refusing to give me my online sale discount with the replacement belt.. THAT I REPEAT WAS THE WRONG BELT!!! 905k7 is the belt you need if you want to bypass the ac compressor.. do not buy this for a durango 5.9l.. it will not fit

    Comments about Driveworks V-Ribbed Belt:

I replaced a worn-out belt two months ago. Bought this 88.5" belt and had a very difficult time getting it installed. Viewed several recommendations calling for a 90+" belt. While it definitely installed easily, it didn't take long before it was chirping non-stop. Decided to try this 88.5" belt again and with some "persuasion" with a screwdriver acting as a crowbar, I got it on. Quiet as a church mouse now! I used a nice breaker bar to pull the belt tensioner to it's max adjustment, but seems like if it could move 1/2" more, the belt would slip right on! Good luck!

    Too short. Use 90.5in belt.

    By

    Comments about Driveworks V-Ribbed Belt:

This is listed on almost every auto parts site as proper fit to bypass A/C on 5.9L 360 engines. This belt is incorrect and too short by about 2 inches. Use a 90.5 inch belt for proper fit on engines without A/C or to bypass the compressor.

      Comments about Driveworks V-Ribbed Belt:

This belt was at least 2 inches short even though it was listed as a perfect fit. To be fair, other sites list it as a perfect fit as well.

this belt is for without a/c. it seems quite small with the tensioner completely minimised, Is there any other modification such as a smaller idler pulley, since the compressor is still in place with a siezed bearing. thanks

This is a serpentine belt. A serpentine belt is a single continuous belt used to drive multiple peripheral devices in an automotive engine, such as alternators, power steering pumps, coolant pumps, A/C compressors.
