  • Q:

What is the difference in the sway bars for cars with and without sport suspension? How can I determine which suspension my 2010 Chevy Cobalt 2.2 has? (I have also seen suspension parts referring to a soft-ride suspension. Is one of these the standard/basic suspensions even though they sound like upgrades?)

      A:

I'm glad to assist, Audie! The sport suspension is typically found on the turbocharged and supercharged Chevrolet Cobalt. Your 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2L L4 will likely have the FE1 or FE3 suspension. FE1 is the softest suspension offered and came with most base model Cobalts. FE3 is sport inspired suspension. The FE5 suspension sits lower and provides an even sportier ride.

You can find the RPO code for your suspension in the trunk under the pad on a black and silver tag labeled Service Parts Identification. This Driveworks Sway Bar Link Kit (Part No. DW-K750012) is unlikely to be the correct link for your car. Driveworks Sway Bar Link Kit (Part No. DW-K80252) is likely to be the correct part for your vehicle.
