18mm hex to hold when tightening. Grease fittings included but grease boot is loose and not clamped or attached. On a Chevy Cobalt the angle of the link makes the bottom boot stick out and is almost funnel shaped. Water and dirt may find its way into the joint. May be worth more money to get Moog with wired downed boot. Need to keep a close eye on boots and periodically, give the fitting a little shot of grease but not too much grease that could increase exposure to dirt & moisture.

Bang for your buck.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Sway Bar Link Kit:

I gave this 4 stars for being mediocre. It's cheap, fits and had grease fittings. Grease fittings are a must! The only complaint that I had was that the fixed nut was on the boot side of the sway bar. So, when tightened, if your wrench is wider than the nut, is squeezes into the boot and pushes prepacked grease out. Factory link had the hex on the end. I feel that having it here would be easier for removal and installation. Don't forget to grease everything up while you're under there!

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Sway Bar Link Kit:

Parts were solid construction and exceeded factory item. One nut per box was over stamped and needed to be ground down to fit socket used. Placed these on top, harder to put on because inside threads were also affected.

Better than factory. Large area to use wrench to hold ball and socket side when installing nut. Grease fittings that factory didn't have.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Sway Bar Link Kit:

My Malibu 08 had this clunking noise for more than a year. This part solved the issue. The original old one was not painted and seemed weaker. This one is heavy, was painted black. The pic is accurate. The holding inner nut also makes it easy to screw in the outer nut (versus the old style hex bolt). It did take time and some force to screw in. You cannot screw by hand all the way in. I guess that is by design, to hold it very tight.
I have issue with the upper grease fitting. It was in the way. I had to remove it and screw it in later.
Other than that everything seems fine. Time will time how long it will last. The one old lasted about 80K miles.

                  Zerk issues

                  By

                  from Richmond, KY

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Sway Bar Link Kit:

I installed these on by 08 G6 and the clunk went away but I noticed a crunch when turning full lock and hitting a bump in a parking lot. Upon inspection the zerk grease fitting is striking the fender well. My fear is on the passenger side there is a brake line it also rubbed. I am removing the Zerk to satisfy the problem and plugging the grease hole. Bad design this only occurs at full lock.

There is a hex surface on the stud to hold with a wrench while you torque the nut on with a socket. The stud on orginal part had to be either held with a vise grip or torched off.

There are also zerk fittings on each end.

First Loosen the wheel lug nuts, jack up and lift the car. Remove the lug nuts and wheel then remove the nut holding the sway bar link to the sway bar. You will have to grip the shaft below the sway bar so it does not turn. Remove the bottom bolt with a socket wrench on the nut, and a wrench on the nut on the other side of the mounting point then remove the upper bolt.
