Ball sockets loose and noisy....

By

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Sway Bar Link Kit:

Installed 2 new links, they both were loose and noisy. I took them off, drove back to Advance Auto, and exchanged them for 2 more links. Went home, installed links, and they too were loose at the ball sockets and hella noisy. Took them off and got a refund. Bought new links at rhe dealer for the same price.... Problem solved. No more clunking.

Complete junk these are a waste of money. They were worse than my old links. The ball end is loose and pops in and out and makes terrible noises.

    Adding a nut eases installation

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Sway Bar Link Kit:

This is a two piece shaft so the lower nut on the top shaft can not be used to tighten the sway bar link kit to the control arm. Adding a hex nut to the lower shaft eases installation. Apply thread locker to 3 or 4 threads at the base of the shaft that goes into the control arm. tighten the nut so a wrench can be used to keep the shaft from turning during installation or removal. It will also keep you from having to use grip pliers, and having to put the ring back on that holds the grease boot in place. It is much easier to use a deep socket, rather than a wrench or open ratchet and socket with a wrench holding the end of shaft to tighten it. The lifetime warranty, and being able to grease this product are huge benefits. This product eliminated the noise created from the worn part, and restored the smoothness of the ride. I would recommend, and use this product again.

PURCHASED AS A REPLACEMENT FOR MY NOISY ORIGINAL LINKS. I INSTALLED THE NEW LINKS AND THEY MAKE AS MUCH NOISE AS THE OLD ONES. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY.

The 18mm bottom nut is a once use nut that you will need an air impact wrench to install. It would have been nice to know this before purchasing the parts.
