Comments about Driveworks Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly:

This control arm was a perfect fit for a 2001 Grand Am. Watched a few videos on how to replace. Both control amrs replaced with hand tools and a long heavy duty breaker bar for the vertical bolt. Hint it is a long bolt. Used lots of PB. WARNING: this control arm's 3 bolts holding the Ball joint on must be torqued. Mine were tight but not torqued. Only found out AFTER the wheel alignment. Though I replaced both control arms, one had really loose bolts holding the lower ball joint and it was making a noise when driving over bumps. I torqued them to 45 ft/lbs + 1/4 turn. I hope I didn't throw off the alignment. ..dang .. Now no more noise but I worry about the alignment.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly:

The Dorman lower control arm fits correctly and really helped with the front end. If you are somewhat of a "doing yourself person" then you can do this job. This control arm looked just like the original one that was on the car.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly:

My bushings were wore out. This was a perfect fit & easy to install. Great deal since it included the bushings & the ball joint too. No need to just buy the bushings & worry about pressing the new ones into the old controll arm. The hardest part was getting the old one off with the rusty bolts & the worn out upper bushing that spun in the controll arm & would not allow the bolt to come out. Ended up peeling the rubber bushing off the race & then used a pipe wrench to hold the race while backing the bolt out. As far as durability, only time will tell.
