    1991 mazda 626 dx how do i get the old ball joint out? can i use a ball joint press kit? do i need to take it to a machine shop and have them press it out? the mazda dealership says it cant be serviced at all but everyone sells ball joints separate from the control arm. please enlighten me ASAP. thanks

      Hi there Xephorce! For your Mazda the lower ball joint is removable but a special tool is needed. You would need a tool similar to Part No AST7565. Our stores have tool available to rent it will vary from store to store so check with your local store. If not your next best option would be to take the control arm and the new lower ball joint to a machine shop and they can pop the old one out and put in the new one for you.
