2001 Subaru Impreza RS took this ball joint perfectly. No issues. Was worried by some of the reviews, but I figured I'd give it a shot because of price and my inability to believe Advance would continue selling something as an "exact fit" if it just wasn't. The part matched the OEM one it replaced in size and structure. Slid right into the newly cleaned area in the spindle/knuckle. The hard part was getting the old one (Original and decimated) out, which has nothing to do with the quality of this part, which is was great for the money.

These are the lowest cost joints AAP carries, however they do still have a limited life time warranty. Bad side is the boots wear out quickly, however they wear out just as fast as the moog brand. Though both these brands have a Life time warranty, both return warranties gives pennies. So do the math for the moog verses these. Have not had a fitting problem on my '97 subaru legacy wagon as others have posted, easy rule-just check new in box verses old before taking home.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

It did not fit. I was not going to try to force it to fit and therefore not be able to return it. I had already seen it reviewed poorly on this site but I thought it was just people that did not know how to install it. It is simply not machined properly.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

This ball joint was used to replace a very bad ball joint ( different brand ). It installed very easily and quickly. The price of this unit was very reasonable, and had all the new parts that would be needed i.e. pinch bolt and washer, cotter pin, main bolt. No need to use any old parts. I am very pleased with this product and don't understand why there are any bad reviews. Wish there was a grease fitting.

This ball joint did not fit my 2002 Subaru Impeza RS. It's listed as "exact fit" but after it was installed in the car, it creaked and popped and caused the steering to pull slightly right.

Spend more and get the Moog ball joint that actually fits!

This product looks right, but is wrong for the 2002 Subaru. Mikes out too big for the old slot- so I went to carquest and it fit perfect. You can't beat it in. If you did, years later after rust, I promise it never never would come out.
