Do not buy Driveworks, you will not be happy. The lower only lasted a year. Its Junk! Pay the extra money and get the Moog if you are keeping your truck.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

Knowing I had a bad upper on the driver side, I decided that 12 years and 200k miles, I should probably replace the whole set. Glad I did because once I got the old lower off, I could see it wasn't long before it would become obvious. I still don't know why Chrysler used joints without grease fittings.
My issue, as I bought two. both part numbers were the same, but had a different construction in the boot. Some posts state that the boot is removable. That's not always the case.
When you buy this, inspect the rubber cap that retains grease and keeps out water. make sure that the metal lip is exposed. You want to see the metal retainer and the lip exposed. Otherwise, when you press them in, the rubber boot will be damaged. The version pictured above is what you want. It pressed in easily without damage.

These things lasted less than a year for me. Better off just forking up the extra few bucks and getting the real deal.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

This BJ was stiff, tight, and the boot was removable - a big help when pressing it into place. Torquing down the nut to 130# didn't give it any trouble at all, and there is zero slop in the wheel now. Perfect fit, easy reassembly, and the zerk fitting is a plus over the non-lubable OE BJ. Plus the savings - new lower arm with BJ already pressed in was $250 more than just doing the joint.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

These are great becasue the rubber boot is easily removed and just as easy to re-install, so it wont get damaged when pressing the ball joint into the control arm. They should put that in the installation instructions.
Hopefully they last a long time

Depends on your vehicle. For help with your project, I recommend getting a repair manual specifically for your vehicle. It should be able to help you with detailed instructions on how to do many things.
