Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

Save yourself the time and hassle and put Moog ball joints in. These ball joints barely hold grease, they started squeaking like crazy on every bump in the road, and they were so stiff it caused the truck to track in certain directions. Absolutely terrible.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

General appearance and construction of the ball joints is quite good. The fact that the retainer castlenuts are so skimpy it makes one wonder if the internal construction material of the ball joint is up to the proper standards. The threads of the castlenuts were so shallow they looked like they would easily strip out if any amount of force was used on them. I didn't think the castlenuts would hold up to the required torque needed for installation, so I replaced them with better quality hardware.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

I installed a pair of these ball joints on a 85 Monte Carlo SS. When greesing these joints the grease was difficult to apply through the zerk fitting and the grease did not flow to the boots but came out around the bottom of the joint. After about 2 weeks of occational driving the joint began to make a lot of noise (loud popping when turning at low speed). Replaced it under warranty with another joint and had the same problem after a few weeks of driving. I will not try again. Pay the extra money to get a Moog joint.

I got the exact part I needed waiting at the store an hour after I ordered it. The store had a ball joint press they loaned me. The job was done quickly and this DIY repairman is happy.

No, I am sorry. The Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint (Part No. DW-K6145T) is not the correct front lower ball joint for your 1999 Chevrolet Blazer. Instead please check the Moog Ball Joint (Part No. K5335) which would be the ideal part for your application. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto store and one of our representatives will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
