What all do I have to take off to replace my upper / lower ball joints on my 1983 Cadillac Eldorado?

The tire will need to come off. Once off, if you take off the castle nut the whole assembly should be able to drop down and give you access to the upper control arm to remove the upper ball joint. The coil spring may need to be removed prior to installation as well.
