Frankly, the last question was a good one because I have the same one. I did not have a washer present on either side so I will not use it. However, I thought that the answer by the company representative seemed a little sarcastic. Perhaps you should keep in mind that we inexperienced "shade tree" mechanics purchasing your parts which pays your salary or hourly rate.

I'm happy to help, Motor! I apologize if Vincent's response seems sarcastic, I am sure that was not his intention when responding to the question. I did some research on the vehicles that the Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End (Part No. DW-EV351) fits and did not see the washer mentioned in the repair procedures.

I also looked at the competitors parts as well and did not see the washer included in their kits. I suggest following your repair manual's indications when replacing your inner tie rod end. If you have not already purchased one, it is Haynes Part No. 30021

With reference to your inquiry on the Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End - part# DW-EV351, the flat washer should be bent over the end of the inner tie rod end to prevent it coming loose.
