I WAS INSTALLING A LEFT AND A RIGHT ON EACH SIDE OF MY 2003 TRAILBLAZER, EVERYTHING WAS GOING SMOOTH UNTILL I HAD TO REUSE THE JAM NUT. THE JAM NUT WAS RUSTED BAD BECAUSE OF MICHIGAN WINTERS. IT WAS STUCK SO BAD THAT MY IMPACT WOULD NOT MOVE II WHILE THE BASE WAS CLAMPED IN THE VISE. SO I GAVE UP, AN RAN BACK TO ADVANCE 4 MILES AWAY TO GET A TWO NEW NUTS, BUT THEY DO NOT CARRY THEM.NEITHER DOES THEIR COMPETITORS, AND BIG BOX HOME IMPROVEMENT STORES. SO I RETURNED BACK HOME WITH NO OTHER OPTIONS ON A SATURDAY NIGHT. SO I GOT THE TORCH OUT AND HEATED IT UP UNTIL IT WAS GLOWING SLIGHTY RED. GOT IT OFF, FINISHED THE INSTALLATION AFTER I COOLED DOWN.

IT MIGHT BE IN YOUR BEST INTREST TO FIND A NUT BEFORE YOU START THIS PROJECT IF LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE THEY USE SALT ON THE ROADS

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

It fits and looks like the broken one I replaced. I wish it had a new nut to replace the one that's a jam nut on the rack end but there wasn't anything wrong with the one from the old one. This was on a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. I just need an alignment now and hope the drivers side doesn't break. This ones greasable. I like that. Old school I guess.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

This is just a quick fix replacement. The boot is not even attached to tie rod end so you can just pull it right off. Castle nut was 2 or 3 mm smaller than oem and it doesn't come with a jam nut either. I had already planned on replacing them anyway because one was cross threaded on old one and had bought 2 from a local hardware store because advance auto doesn't carry anything big enough. AAP needs to consider adding the jam nut or carrying nuts big enough to do the job.

Who Knows? I bought and installed it a week ago. I am posting this review to get Advance Auto to quit sending me emails to review my purchases. Ordering and installing was easy, but who knows if it will last? Cheap [*] parts are 50/50 at best over the expected life.
