I bought two of these driveworks tie rod ends for my 2006 dodge Dakota. dodge being notorious for having front end/suspension problems, this was a simple, cost effective and reliable fix to my problems. as a former advance auto parts team member I know what to expect from each and every brand that advance auto parts carries on their shelves. the main two brands that they carry are driveworks and moog. dirveworks is more of a factory replacement type parts company while moog is more heavy/extreme duty. if you don't do any heavy duty driving, you don't really need to pay heavy duty prices. buy drive works

When you only pay [$] for this you can't complain ! When I was getting ready to install them I notice there wasn't a grease fitting. ( like stock one } and the rubber boot when sqeezed felt empty. The boot was easy to pop off so I looked inside at the ball. There was barely a finger size swab of grease in there. I just packed in some good grease ans slipped the boot back on. For [$] and a little grease It was a good deal and it seemed fine overall. I bet if I didn't add the grease it would probably last only a year tops. JUST REMEMBER TO ADD GREASE ! and your good !

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

Tie rod was ok , no grease fitting. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT use the included nut if it has three crimps on the top, it will kill the threads BEFORE it's even tight, then you have a nice fight on your hands. Get nylon insert nut at a hardware store and be done. Not the first Drive Works product i've had this trouble with but it will be my last.

                A:

Hi Donte, glad to assist you! It is not necessary to replace the other side as well. However, it is always recommended replacing any components on both sides at the same time, wherever possible. Both will currently be the same age - if one has failed, it is likely that the other is in a similar condition and so could easily fail soon.
