Good but no washer

Exact fit part but no washer for the castle nut. I was surprised they didn't have a large base not like the factory OEM.

Pros

  • Cheaper than moog
  • Greasable

Cons

  • No flat washer and its needed for locknut
  • Rubber boot not clamped on both sides like oem

Best Uses

  • On cars with oner 100k

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

The castle nut locks with a cotter pin only when a washer is used and it isn't included. On other cars that I used drive works tie rods they seemed heavier duty than OEM. Not this case. Thinner casting on the socket and length is 1/8" shorter from ball center to threaded end. Still looks like a good part though.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

Went on ok & fit fine. When done though the nut was well above the cotter pin. So the nut could possibly work down at least 1/4in b4 coming in contact with cotter pin. I applied thread locker to nut threads for added protection. Doubled checked making sure they gave me correct tie rods & they confirmed they were correct.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

After greasing the ball joint for about two years when the boot had ripped I decided to just replace the thing. The hard pard was getting the old one off. Installation of the new one took 10 minutes, removal of the old one took an hour.
Make sure you have the right tools before attempting to remove the old one you will save your self lots of time.
