Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

Listen to these warnings! The grease zerk is indeed in the wrong location. It will come in contact with the lower control arm. The dimensions are all wrong as well. The end of the part with the bolt is a good 1/2" deeper. Without the grease zerk, it barely clears the control arm.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

Grease fitting is on BACK side so when mounted, you cannot get a grease gun on it. Order the TRW version since the fittings are on the side.

            Grease fitting in wrong location

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

This part needs a side mounted grease nipple. Rear mounting makes it impossible to add grease beacuse it is right against the front cross member on my 2000 S10. A right angle fitting may work but you won't find one of the proper size at Advance Auto.

Correct part must have grease fitting on the side, this one is on the cap and rubs on frame.

                    A:

I'm happy to help, Smith! When multiple complaints and/or returns are received for a product an investigation is typically launched to find out what the common failure point is. I have initiated an quality assurance inquiry into this Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End (Part No. DW-ES3380T). MOOG Tie Rod End (Part No. ES3380T), for your 2002 Chevrolet S10 4.3L V6, is a great alternative that includes a limited lifetime warranty and may include improvements over the original equipment design.
