Yes this part differs from oem design but with a bit of thought, one can see how to adjust it properly. Measure the old tie rod from threaded end to the center of bolt, do the same with this part and adjust your locknut accordingly. It's really quite simple.

Also, it is a very inexpensive part so I don't expect it to last as long as the original.... but you never know.

Poor quality

Very poor threads. Had to use a tap to clear the threads enough to use it. Cheap lock nut. It's cheaper than the TRW part for a reason.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

The "stamped steel" OEM part that failed, the one I took off is garbage compared to this forged steel part, with a grease zerk. Nylock nut so no cotterpin required. Easy to install and good quality for the price!!!

I used a couple of these. Wore out in less than a year. Twice. Buy the TRW. Good only if you are selling it.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

The OE Brand Tie Rod ends appear to be poor quality. I had to return one when I stripped the threads when tightening it down. I used a torque wrench set to the factory advised setting, and the castellated nut just kept on turning. I had to cut the nut off to remove the tie rod and return it.

The other issue is that the hole for the cotter pin to secure the castellated nut appears to be in the wrong place. I had to install washers underneath the nut to get to a point where the cotter pin would secure.
