Garbage! Do Not Buy!

By

from Danbury, CT

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

Installed last winter. Did brakes and rotors yesterday (8/27/16). And while doing that saw that the boot was torn on the tie rod end. They were only in there for 7 months. But by the way they look it's like they were in there for at least 10 years. Driveworks is cheap quality. And I will never buy their parts again. It's a throw away brand. You're better off spending the extra few bucks and getting better quality.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

The boot on this unit is a great design vs the others, which have flimsy thin rubber balloon style with a coil spring to hold boot, this design is a solid dust cap also was pre greased .

Comments about Driveworks Steering Tie Rod End:

Tie rod end failed 13 months after installation. Had enough slop in it to make steering an adventure, rather than a process. Very low quality.

I noticed some not so good reviews on these. I bought them since I couldn't get moog or trw easily. Seem ok, but I'm skeptical. Would have bought moog if I could have located easier.

Thank goodness the part was still covered under warranty. If not, I would have replaced the defective tie rod with a better one.
