Comments about Driveworks Steering Idler Arm:

Original lasted 94,000 miles and the new idler arm lasted 25,000 miles. They replaced it at no cost but they should last longer than that.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Idler Arm:

I have replaced idler arms in other vehicles and this one was fairly easy. I was disappointed at the shabby boot that would not stay in place and the lack of protection has the grease flowed out the other side. I noticed the side with the boot was packed with lithium grease instead of a heavier grease.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Idler Arm:

After Don removed the old idler arm and found it came in two pieces, it took a bit of time figuring out how to get the redesigned one piece idler arm configured. It worked and I am happy.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Idler Arm:

As other users stated the sleeve is to tall. Was able to get the original size cotter pin to go in one side but not the other. This is due to the sleeve not allowing the nut to go far enough onto the bolt. Smaller diameter cotter pin works fine though. Grease zerks are a plus over the OEM not having them.

Tightened up my sloppy steering without any other parts. Straight-forward installation.Exact fit. Saved money and time buying online with Coupon. With In-store pickup and the Ability to check instore stock online saved lots of time.Purchased for my father-in-law's Lincoln which was wandering all over the road while driving, I was afraid it was the ball-joints which are a pain on this car but Having someone else turn the steering and lever on the tires while I inspected each link in steering for movement revealed a lot of play in the idler arm. Only replacing that got my steering a lot firmer

Hi Andy, glad to assist you! These are the two bushings on the idler arm, one on the end of the drag link and one on the frame bracket.
