Comments about Driveworks Steering Idler Arm:

"Thanks" to those that commented on the cotter pin hole location. I wasn't sure if I had the right part... or was missing something...

The hole is a good 1/8" away from engaging the castle nut!

Instead of drilling a new hole, I used a couple of heavy duty washers.

Other than that... the part seems to be good quality... time will tell.

The toughest part of the job was separating the Idler Arm from the Relay Rod. For me... the Pickle Fork was essential. It took persistence! I came at it from a couple of different directions. I even heated the joint...

    Hope this helps!

Comments about Driveworks Steering Idler Arm:

This was a good replacement part for my 98 Astro. The only problem was that after I installed the part, I discovered that the hole for the cotter pin was way off. I had to mark it, remove it, drill a new hole and reinstall it, which was kind of a pain, but not impossible. Fortunately I had the tools and skill to do it. If you don't, it might be a good idea to get some help.
