About Me Mechanic

Comments about Driveworks Steering Idler Arm:

Hard to believe, but its 100% perfect, as in completely garbage, not just "kinda". Total and utter failure at 100 miles, by then worse than the part I replaced with it. 3/4" of vertical slop in 100 miles. I wish it was a gift, but no, my hard earned money went down the drain. Returning for a Moog, hopefully its better. Lord knows it can be no worse.

Comments about Driveworks Steering Idler Arm:

Within 3 months of this idler arm being installed it went bad. So now I have to go buy another one. My mechanic stated that he's seen this happen many times with driveworks Idler arms and suggested I buy the Moog idler arm next time.

The item was described as correct for the vehicle I have, but did not fit. The store had to find the correct item after I returned to the store with it.

Exact replacement for my 2000 Blazer. Pretty easy to replace with the free loan a tool AAP offers. Replaced these while doing the Ball Joints was a great idea. Only a little longer and now front end is as quite as years ago.

                  A:

Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
