Driveworks Starter

The starter was a an easy install with perfect fit. With the online coupons, it was an inexpensive purchase and after a couple weeks and maybe 1k miles, it works well.

Works as it should. Has very small nut on hard to tighten battery cable. Use stock copper nut instead for better grip with wrench in tight spot.

I bought this starter in 2008. It only lasted 4 years. Got a replacement for free per the lifetime warranty. The new one only has a one year warranty. Probably won't last. better to buy the more expensive one with a lifetime warranty.

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

Even if you have the right part, you may need to use shims to get the fit just right. It is normal to use shims on this starter to tighten up or loosen gaps, especially between the starter teeth and the flywheel teeth

Starters are usually pretty easy to replace on alot of vehicles. With a basic set of tools you should be able to replace a starter in your back yard.
